Plant Observations

Yesterday in 4B (Miss. Willis' class) we went outside to do some observations of what our environment looks like to the north, south, east, and west.  We used the five senses (we made inferences about what things would taste like :)), and wrote down observations in our visual journals.

We then came inside and started talking about Alberta, specifically the symbols of Alberta.  We began with the Alberta Wild Rose, and did some sketching.  Next we will be doing a little bit of research to learn more about this symbol. 

We also did some journal writing about what is special about the number 4.  Here is the web showing some of the ideas that we came up with.
