Rubric for Descriptive Essay on Bison

Similar to our beaver essay --this week students will be using their research on the bison to write a descriptive essay on the bison's habitat, diet, predators, adaptations and how the Blackfoot relied on the bison.  They will need to include a hook, transition words/phrases, descriptive vocabulary, if/then statements and figurative language.  Here is a copy of the rubric that will be used to mark these essays for your reference:
