Did you know today was  Peace Day?  It was a great opportunity to wear our fabulous purple KTS HEART value t-shirts on our way  up to Our Lady of Grace School to watch the Mary Poppins Musical.  We were like a peace train winding up through Evanston community this morning.

All of the grade 2, 3 and 4 classes went to watch the fabulous musical.

Here are some highlights from this Weeks 30 X 30 Challenge:

Reading to self outside in the sunshine!

Math and movement:  Sit Ups to practice our multiplication of basic fats.

Science - observing dandelions, are they weeds or important plants in an ecosystem?

Oral story telling -- sharing circle to listen to the stories of the dandelion

Art and Science -- we are working with a new medium in art, acrylic paint, we are creating three dimensional prairie crocus.  What do you notice about the connections between the dandelion and prairie crocus?

Science -- In class observation of the space tomato plants.  Why do these plants have hairs?  What is your inference?

Our Daily Log book recording changes in growth and wonderings.
