Empathy, Ideate ... Design Thinking - Room 4A

Here are some photos of our first design thinking challenge.  This afternoon we worked in groups on the first two stages of the design thinking cycle.  Empathy = solving a problem to help people/animals in the world.  And Ideate = putting all of our ideas together to design a prototype.  The challenge is to build a freestanding structure that is as tall as you can make it, that will support weight and not get blown over.  Tomorrow students will take their ideas and build these prototypes our of materials such as:  lego, keva blocks, magformers, etc.
