Sharing our stories with our grade 2 buddies:
 |
| These were some of the prompts we gave for ideas to add to your story. |
Listen carefully to each others stories.
Sharing circles - to build relationships with our younger friends in grade two. Each student had to come up with two words -- one to describe themselves and one to describe their grade two buddy. These words were ones they took from the stories they heard each other tell. Sharing circles teach us how to relate, how to communicate, how to appreciate, how to empathize, and how to act in responsible ways.
This was the web we built in our classroom to build our background knowledge about the word and concept of building relationships. You can see that we have many different types of relationships in our lives. We made the connection between reciprocity and relationships another connected word is responsibility.
