Wow what a week... as you have probably heard we had a burst pipe in room 119 and so we had to relocate to Mr. Straiton's classroom for the week, because they were out for Open Minds learning downtown. I was very impressed with how well everybody did to adjust to a new learning space. This demonstrates the growth mindset that our grade four students have.
We started the week with our virtual field trip to the Royal Tyrrell Museum where our informative guide, Clement took us through several of the galleries to explore the fossil records. The trip was amazing and engaging. What a wonderful resource to be able to access. Here are some photos of the experience.

A web of our learning from the trip. We made many connections to Alberta's landscape and plant fossils for science. The field trip prompted us to create our own representation of the some of plants from the Cretaceous period which are still around today. Around 165 million years later, the power of nature!
